About this app

You're at a viewpoint and your first intention is to orient yourself? You manage to identify one or two places, such as a church or a mountain, but you would also like to better understand the rest of your view? Use your knowledge and create your own personal MapShot!

1. Take a photo of your view

2. Mark a point on the image that you can identify. (A mountain, a church, a tower...)

3. Mark the point on a map

4. Be rewarded with a MapShot viewer, where each image pixel corresponds to a coordinate on a map. Your self-created interactive orientation panel!

5. If you are satisfied with your MapShot, share it with others. A map with all published MapShots worldwide allows you to download MapShots from others even in places where you are not so familiar!
