I was surprised at the low reviews, but I can understand it now. Coming to here from Tailscale, the tailscale android app is much, much better. I have had this app more than once silently drop the VPN connection and say *NOTHING* to me about it. No notice, nothing, just a silent fail. That is utterly unacceptable. Its basic job is to establish and keep the connection alive. It is failing at half of its job.

No matter how hard I tried, consulting Google, LLM, you name it -- I simply could not figure out how to force my clients to use ONLY my infrastructure. Even with 2 ports exposed to the internet, clients were using relays without my permission that were slow when I have a 3gbps fiber connection available. Super confusing app to work with.

good mesh network service but horrendous app. The quick settings toggle which should be used to, well quickly toggle the state of the app, only opens the system settings... It also frequently drops the connection silently. there's also thos very old but still existing bug that android cannot resolve netbird dns entries so you'll have to remember the IPs
