Update - Thanks for the response. I figured out the issue. I noticed that when I was launching the app, it was launching my browser. I think I was stuck in OpenStreetMap after signing in. I had to hit back multiple times to get back to the actual Deflock app. The app works great, OpenStreetMap was really difficult to use on mobile.

Edit: aha! Yes, that's why we made the app! Glad you got it sorted.

Downloaded the app, opened it, the entire map is blank, shows error message saying the app doesn't follow the policy or something. Good idea, but something somewhere seems to have broken. Will redownload and update review if this changes.

We've been in contact with OSM the past day and have fixed this; release 2.7.2 rolling out right now. In the meantime, OSM were gracious enough to grant us a temporary exception. App should be working as of now, and will continue to so long as you update. My apologies for the issue; pretty embarrassing mistake on my part.

if you're a victim of community stalking this app will not help you. Cameras have been popping up left and right where I am and of course I wanted to register them. The app wants you to create a account which sorta defeats the purpose of you're a victim of organized stalking and harassment.

Hi Shannon! DeFlock uses OpenStreetMap as our database; the nature of these things does require an account of some kind, but you can use a VPN and a throwaway email. The app also allows pausing your submissions to prevent correlation with Flock data to deanonymize you. The app is also open source, so you can verify it does not do any tracking :)

What’s new

- Use DeFlock's own servers for node data and nav; significantly faster
- Support operator profile import via deflockapp:// links
- Operator profiles are now reorderable
- Simplified profile FOVs; there is now only a checkbox for '360'
- Reason can now be provided when deleting a node
- Moved some UX items for clarity
