Choose the apps to block, on the schedules you set. Add place-based rules (like
"block games at work"). Switch on an on-device adult-content filter. And for the
hardest moments, an optional Strict Mode you can't simply switch off in a weak
moment.

A simple check-in builds your streak and helps you notice progress. Checking in —

🔒 Private by design
Your data stays on your device by default. Your chats are kept on your phone. We
never sell your data and never show ads. Cloud backup is optional and yours to

check-ins, and unlimited companion chat.

How BeFree uses sensitive permissions
BeFree only asks for what a feature needs, always with your consent, and you can turn each off any time:

• Accessibility Service — used solely to notice which app is in the foreground, so BeFree can show a calm "blocked" screen for the apps you chose to block during your focus times. It never reads, logs, or collects screen content, and nothing leaves your device.

• VPN (Android VpnService) — powers the optional on-device adult-content filter. It runs entirely on your phone as a local filter: there is no remote VPN server, your internet traffic is never routed to us or anyone else, and nothing leaves your device except web-address (DNS) lookups.
