On random days, the app will completely disregard all steps I've taken. It's happened too many times now, and with no way to manually enter that distance, Fantasy Hike no longer motivates me. Bummer. Edited to add: I had reached out to support with my issue when it first started in September of 2025, and they had me do a few things to resync my data, and nothing worked. They would not help me further.

Loved the idea and downloaded it to make step tracking more fun. Enjoying following along wit the story and the in-app versions of the names. This seems like it was fun to make, and like there was a lot of heart put into it. Was pleased to find out that the art was not AI, and the screen with the sprites is so lovely to look at. Really nice that there is a one-time purchase to upgrade to counting more than one mile per day if you don't want to commit to the subscription- $6.99 is more than fair!

The app is cute and fun, especially since I like fantasy stuff. However, without premium, you can only walk about a mile a day. They do offer a week-long trial, and it's only $2 a month. But as a broke high school senior paying senior dues and saving for college dorm stuff, I don't have an extra $2 for this app. It sucks because I'm a competitive person and got super annoyed when they started out-walking me. Apart from the one-mile-a-day limit, it's a cool, fun game that makes walking cooler.
