Memory Tracks is an app that promotes and supports personal behaviour change using the cognitive power of memorable music. Music has a unique access to the brain, lowering anxiety, depression and agitation, and improving our moods.
PLEASE NOTE: Memory Tracks is tailored for people who are 65 years or older... and our song list ranges from 1928 to 1963.
Memory Tracks uses Song-Task-Association to link memorable songs to care tasks and activities that need to be carried out during the day such as; washing, getting dressed, taking medication, or when care is being given; when being washed, being dressed, being taken to the toilet. Playing these personal songs has shown better recall and recognition, lower stress and agitation, and improve mood, making care a simpler and happier activity.
When you download Memory Tracks and complete your subscription, the Home Page Activity Tiles will be set automatically. 14 Tiles will be set up for you so you can use the app immediately. You can exchange any of the Tile songs for others in our database whenever you want - 360 hits and favourites.
There is also a Radio button that will play all the songs on the database randomly.
