About this app

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLING: This app is obsolete and is provided for historical purposes only. It was created before Android had native support for Persian input. A newer Persian keyboard layout is already included in the Google Keyboard. Look under "Language & input" under "Settings".

Before installing, check to see whether the Google Keyboard is already installed on your device. If not, try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.latin

To switch keyboards on older versions of Android, long-press (hold down) the edit field.

--- original description follows ---

Persian (Farsi, فارسی) soft keyboard.

To configure, go to the "Language & keyboard" menu under "Settings". Long-press for additional keys.

I have the latest, fastest phone on the markey, Galaxy Note II. I can't even enable farsi input. Pretty useless. If the developer can help me fix this and try the keyboard, I'll re-review and reinstall the app.

If you have the latest phone, you don't need this app, because Persian is already natively supported. Try changing the layout in the Google Keyboard instead.

Some characters are missing ....or is it me? I can't type for example "soed" meaning Sweden. I have to type "soid" (ی)instead of (ء)...still looking for it...but the rest of the keyboard is great! Took one star off just for that.

You can type it by long-pressing "alef" in the default layout. You can also change this in the settings.

I am not sure about previous versions of Android, but my LG with ICS already has the Persian keyboard as one of the input options. I appreciate the work though.
