Bonjar is the receipt scanner and expense tracker for freelancers and small businesses — scan a receipt, confirm the details and export tax-ready records in seconds, with no monthly fee.
Point your phone's document scanner at a receipt or invoice and Bonjar reads it on-device: merchant, date, total and category come out automatically, ready for you to check. Your receipts stay on your phone — nothing gets uploaded anywhere just to read them. There's no subscription: Bonjar is a single one-time purchase.
What Bonjar does:
• Scan with your phone's own document scanner — Bonjar doesn't need camera permission at all
• On-device text recognition — the recognized text stays viewable on every receipt
• Automatic extraction of merchant, date, total and category, with low-confidence fields flagged for you. Nothing saves until you confirm it. Manual entry works too, for the odd scan that doesn't land
• Tax breakdown built in — one automatic rate, or mixed rates with a live running total (net, tax, and gross) as you go. Tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive modes, plus a custom rate for any receipt
• Itemize — add, edit or delete individual line-item descriptions and amounts
• Categories — a starter set for business expenses, plus your own
• Attach the card or PIN slip photo to any receipt
• Log payment method (cash, card, bank transfer, other), country and a note per receipt
• Import by share or open-with — send images and PDF invoices straight from email, your gallery or a file manager; the original PDF can always be reopened
• Free CSV export — ready for your accountant or spreadsheet: date, merchant, category, amounts, tax breakdown, currency, period, payment method, note
• PDF tax report export (Pro) — a clean summary with tax broken out line by line, with the option to include receipt photos
• Export by month, quarter, year or a custom range; filter by category and date first
