SMART Recovery is a global community of mutual-support groups. At meetings, participants help one another resolve problems with any addiction (to drugs or alcohol or to activities such as gambling or over-eating). Participants find and develop the power within themselves to change and lead fulfilling and balanced lives guided by our science-based and sensible 4-Point Program®.

The official mobile app lets you search for local meetings across the U.S. and Canada, read up on SMART's tools in the Recovery Toolbox, view our YouTube videos and listen to our podcasts, and even start your day with a little motivation.

Ratings and reviews

I am happy to see the arrival of this app. Maybe the most useful feature is easy access to common tools like the Hierarchy of Values and Cost-Benefit Analysis worksheets. There's access to podcasts and videos, local meetings, motivational memes. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, access to online meetings and most other tools requires you to leave the app to access these by browser. It's a good start. (Which could be said for most of us.)

great app, especially the Toolkit. I owe a lot to SMART Recovery and this is a great tool for finding meeting as well as to introduce the tools.

This app is static and not interactive. It is pretty text and doesn't support any insight or help besides "find a meeting." If meetings were my interest I'd go to AA. Their "plan" is a downloaded MSWord Art table. Amateurish and useless.
