I am not receiving the verification code via sms. I do not have the option to send it to me via e-mail. I tried restarting my phone, uninstalling app and installing it again. All with no success. I wrote to the telegram help on several occasions with no response. I am very upset as I have many important contacts there that I can no longer get in touch with. All I want is to have access to my account again.

Telegram used to be a good app, it would provide a safe environment to chat and high-level encryption. But they really sold out... first off you can't download any media that sent to you onto your phone, another really annoying thing is when you click the chat bubble it opens in a minimized window and you can't even enter your password because the keypad is blocked. I don't know sometimes I think he's out developers purposely do this

They have added a new story function that could not be more in the way if it tried. There is no way to disable the stories function and telegram it's self is providing updates via the story feature and you cannot hide or remove it, so it shows that you always have some "story" notification eating up the screen. I am now looking for an alternative communication platform.
