About this app

Thirty three network tools, on the device already in your hand.

Most network apps hand you a number and leave you to interpret it. DR-NetTools is built to reach a verdict. Connection Quality measures latency, jitter, packet loss and bufferbloat, then grades the line for gaming, video calls and 4K, so you know what your connection is good for before the meeting starts, not after it drops.

WHY IT IS ONE APP

Diagnosing a network is rarely one measurement. You ping, the latency looks fine, so you check jitter. Jitter is fine, so you look at what the router is actually doing to your queue. Switching between four apps to follow that thread loses the thread. Every tool here reads the same connection and hands off to the next one.

Network admins, support engineers, developers, and anyone who ends up being the person who fixes the Wi-Fi. The readouts are the real ones, not simplified. Nothing is dressed up to look friendlier than it is.

Ratings and reviews

Doesn't let you type a period in the hostname field for DNS resolution testing. That's like an email app not allowing the @ symbol. Unbelievable. Edit: How can I provide a screenshot portraying an inability to type a single character? And FYI, I'm using Gboard.

In the previous update, the connection with ISP was very good and we used to get working IP, now we don't get anything, we get it when we use other tools and this app of yours is very bad while scanning CIDR. It gets overloaded a lot and starts hanging.😭😒 The earlier version was correct, it was less painful for me.

It's okay. I like the small footprint. Wireless scanning doesn't work at all for me, which is most of what I'd care about in a mobile app. If I use the back button to stop a task (eg, ping) I must also press the X that hides the menu even though the tool exits.
