There is no sky on this dial. What you are looking at is a scanner's own
viewfinder: an aperture ring, sixty tick marks, lock brackets, a slow sweep —
and Nao Sagara, a field survey scientist, seen through the glass the same way
the instrument sees her.

Phosphor green on deep olive-black, amber numerals, a red accent that appears
only at the moment of lock. Every readout is instrument, not decoration.

A power cell gauge built from ten independent segments, so the reading is always
proportional to the charge — never a bar that looks fuller or emptier than the
number underneath it. It runs a highlight up the column while charging and
breathes red when low.

A contact blip appears on the ground plane when you have an unread notification,
with a ping that expands outward in three steps — only the count is read, never
the content.

To use it after buying: open the watch face list on your watch (press and hold the
current face), scroll to Field Scan and tap it. To change the numeral colour or
turn a readout off, press and hold the face and tap Customise.
