Beautiful but not polished I really like this app, and it is my main Reddit app. But its got little bugs which can be very annoying. For example, when scrolling through an imgur gallery, it will sometimes freeze and force close.
Bugs galore on the Note 4. Pictures take a very long time to load even with prefetching when compared with Sync for Reddit. The "double-click" noise is obnoxious and a replacement for the regular "single-pop" noise should be an option in the well-customized settings. UI is very pretty. Selecting a picture that doesn't quite fill the screen and goes a bit out cannot be zoomed out of, and the transparent overlay with the download/share icon only disappears when pressing on the picture which happens to also close the picture itself.
Used to be much faster I have never rated an app before, but need to here. This was a great app, one I paid money for the Pro version. Since recent updates, it has become slow to the point of unusable. Comments load slowly or sometimes not at all. And other reviews here indicate that it's not me or my hardware but the app itself. I hope this is fixed soon or I will be moving back to the Flow app.
Too many crashes I used to love this app, but the constant crashes, which have been happening for a couple of months now, have gotten tiresome. Playback of gifs regularly fails, and the only way to fix it, it seems it to close the app and reopen it. By then you've lost your place and have to start over. Please work on stability, before adding new features.
Gifs and comments load soooo slow I bought the Pro version a while back because I loved Reddit News so much, but recently i can't reliably browse anymore. Comments and gifs take an ABSURDLY long time to load. It's at the point where I can only look at pictures now. If I want to look at anything else, I have to migrate to a computer. Once the performance is back up to snuff, this will be a hard 5 star rating, for sure.
Great UI/UX I have been using Reddit Sync for a while, but heard about Reddit News. I switched, and the UI is absolutely fantastic.
