Each update makes it worse? Issues I get: unreliable and failure to playback gifs and videos from multiple sources. Heavy data usage occasionally, even if pre-fetching is only set to Wi-Fi. Share option sometimes fails to prompt Android and show the options to share to people and through other apps. For videos, gifs and images that do work, the overlay covers them (pictures especially). The menu layout is horrid with divides in bizarre places. I have pro but I don't have the AMOLED black theme and haven't for months. Each update seems to either break it more or do nothing at all. I'm actually starting to regret buying Relay and wish I'd just stuck with the official app, as bad as it is it says a lot about Relay. Other annoyances include pressing the back button on Android and having it ask to quit the app instead of going to the last page or Home and clicking on Relay notifications in the Android drop down bar not taking you to where it references.
Video players seem horribly broken and low-res, and it's been that way for several update cycles.
Amazing is all I can say. Well worth the extra $ for pro version. I love the dark theme, it keeps me from getting yelled at by my wife when I reddit at night
Regular updates means bugs aren't a major concern, and that the app keeps up with changes to Reddit. A great app with great features!
Reddit hosted media playback failing very often now 😞
The best reddit app!
- disabled http2 connections to attempt to fix issues playing gifs
- updated google play services to 11.4.2
