This has been one of my favorite apps for years but I'm not creating an account (now required) just to take my pulse. One reviewer pointed out they got rid of the pulse animation that syncs up with your heartbeat. That was how I would check to make sure the app is accurate on a certain phone! I would verify that it's gone... But that would require creating a login.

Overall, this app is pretty good. I've compared it to my blood pressure monitor multiple times, and it's been within 2 bpm of the machine; sometimes it's dead accurate. The ads can be a little annoying, but they're not awful. As long as you have your finger in the right spot, it doesn't take long at all to get a measurement. It's faster than my blood pressure monitor. And it's free! I would like to get a pulse oximeter eventually for more guaranteed accuracy, but this will do for now.

So disappointed in the changes made to this app. I've used it for years now and it's been the best, until recently. Besides having to log in, the most recent update has made the app inaccurate and now takes ages to find a rhythm. The little heart icon that used to blink in sync with yours, which was convenient because it gave a visual to show accuracy, was helpful if you were checking your pulse along with the app is gone. The auto start is kind of annoying too. Cardiograph>Instant Heart Rate.
