Best chess app, right to the point, good look and color scheme, added great features in. Ads weren't super intrusive (they have gotten a bit worse though). What would earn a a five star would be being able to press on opponent pieces to just visually see where they move, or some sort of toggle to show all affected squares. Or a highlight function, or anything like that. Also, had to uninstall and reinstall because it stopped being able to open for some reason, but this is the first time.

I was having trouble looking up other players, customer support had me install "Google play games" and it fixed the issue. This game has single player, multiplayer, co-op offline, and a plethora of settings and 2d and 3d customizable boards and pieces. This is the perfect chess app! I know because I installed and tried all of them like a weird loser.

The ads have manipulative tactics that make it stupid to close out of. They only occur at the end of games, but the way they are set up makes you question which button closes out of them, all in service of making you look at the unnecessary ad longer than desired. I suppose that means mission accomplished, but it sure made things not so great.
