About this app

Passenger Guide is the multilingual passenger companion app for the Driver Guide platform, allowing passengers to listen to professionally guided tours in their own language during live coach, bus, and sightseeing tours.

IMPORTANT:
Passenger Guide is not a standalone tour app.

The app only works with a valid Passenger Access Code provided by a tour driver or tour operator using the Driver Guide system. Without a valid access code from an active tour, the app cannot be used.

HOW PASSENGER GUIDE WORKS

Passengers receive an access code directly from their driver, guide, or tour operator while travelling on a live guided tour.

After entering the code, Passenger Guide unlocks the specific tour assigned to that journey and allows passengers to:

• Select their preferred language
• Download translated commentary before the tour begins
• Listen to GPS-triggered audio automatically during the journey
• Read translated script text alongside playback
• Follow the tour route using the live map interface

Passenger Guide is designed to ensure that international visitors and non-English-speaking passengers can enjoy the same guided experience as English-speaking passengers travelling on the same vehicle.

MULTILINGUAL TOUR PLAYBACK

When translation content is available from the tour operator, passengers can listen to professionally translated tour commentary in their chosen language while the main tour is being delivered through Driver Guide.

Audio playback is automatically synchronised with the live tour route using GPS location technology, helping all passengers experience commentary at the correct place and time.

DESIGNED FOR LIVE TOURS

Passenger Guide is intended for use during organised tours operated using the Driver Guide professional tour platform.

The app does not include public tours, self-guided tours, or purchasable tour content within the app itself.

A valid access code from a participating Driver Guide operator is always required.
