Update released around 8th November is a massive step forward. There is now a running balance on each transaction. With the Pending Transactions already in place the basics are now sorted. A fifth star is waiting for 1. a better font colour difference in Credit/Debit transactions AND 2. an option to pick the month in/out start date (my pay day is the 15 so calendar month summaries are not useful to me) or at least a history of month summaries.
Much better than the old 'app' which was just a webview that didn't work properly. However, internet banking with TSB still lacks a lot of features when compared to modern banks that invested in a custom full tech stack from the get go like Starling. Hopefully they continue to develop and move forward with making this a much better user experience.
Just doesn't let me login. I login with my details fine but says cannot verify device. Been like it for weeks. Update, 9th November - Works much better, I can finally login and can even us finger print or iris scanner. Looks and feels much better than the old app. Update, 11th November - Back to square one. Cannot login at all; cannot verify device.
"Oops - Something went wrong" Again! Update: Pending transactions is a good facility. After nearly 12 months of use it now lets me finally view my Direct Debits & Standing Orders. Unfortunately, if I click on any to delete or amend them it just logs me out. Small progress............. Updated 4/10/17. App constantly closes immediately after opening. Unable to use at all.
Now that Samsung Pass is now back up and running I'm more happy with TSB, and with the app now showing payments clearer and to who is also great. Unfortunately though the app has been a disaster for the last few months, it isn't good enough for a bank this size. Android Pay support is useful, but upon contacting TSB customer service they have no plans to support Samsung Pay and that is a huge deal breaker for me. I live out in the sticks and most places around here only support MST terminals, which Android Pay does not support but my S8 and Samsung Pay does. The only reason I'm still with TSB is because they're local to me but if the app keeps breaking and Samsung Pay isn't supported in the New Year I will be switching as Samsung Pay is a very important thing for a bank I'm with to support.
Finally a running balance on each transaction, better late than never. Every bit of this is slow and clunky to use. Transaction history is so annoying to scroll through near the top as it "auto hides/shows" the account details. Very frustrating
We have fun, features and fixes for you in this release.
You’ll now find some merchant logos alongside your card transactions, which should make payments easier to identify, as well as adding a splash of colour!
We’ve also added a running balance to the transaction view, so you can quickly see your balance history.
Finally, we’ve fixed a couple of crashing issues you’ve reported to us, including one some were experiencing when trying to cancel a Direct Debit.
