IWV Chat AI is a free, on-device AI assistant. Every conversation, every image you analyze, every word you speak — all of it is processed locally on your phone. No account required. No cloud servers. No tracking. No ads. Ever.

WHY ON-DEVICE AI MATTERS
Cloud AI assistants send your conversations to remote servers where they may be logged, analyzed, used to train future models, or accessed by employees. Some have suffered data breaches or changed their privacy terms after the fact.
IWV Chat AI takes a different path. The AI runs entirely on your device. Your prompts never reach our servers because we don't have servers for your prompts. Your photos never get uploaded because vision analysis happens on your phone. Your voice recordings never leave your device because transcription is local.
If your phone is in airplane mode, IWV Chat AI still works. That's the point.

TWO ON-DEVICE AI MODELS
Choose the model that fits your phone and use case:
- Llama 3.2 1B Instruct (Fast Mode) — Default. Lightweight, snappy, text-only. Around 1 GB. Runs comfortably on phones with 8 GB+ RAM. Ideal for everyday chat, quick answers, writing help.
- Ministral 3 3B (Smart Mode) — Vision-capable. Around 3 GB plus a vision bundle. Needs a more capable phone (12 GB RAM recommended). Required for image analysis. Higher-quality responses on complex queries.
You download whichever model you want. You can switch between them. You can delete one to save space and use only the other. The choice stays yours.

VOICE INPUT VIA WHISPER
Tap the microphone, speak your message, and the app transcribes it locally using whisper.cpp — the same speech-recognition engine OpenAI open-sourced, running on your phone. The audio never goes anywhere. The transcribed text feeds straight into the AI on the same device.

CONVERSATIONAL MODE — TALK, DON'T TAP
Go fully hands-free. Enter Conversational Mode and just speak: the app detects when you finish talking, transcribes your words, sends them to the AI, and reads the answer aloud — then listens for your next question. No buttons between turns. Say the exit phrase or tap once to leave. Like everything else in IWV Chat AI, the entire loop — listening, transcription, AI, and speech — runs on your device.

SIX QUICK-ACTION PROMPTS
For common tasks, IWV Chat AI provides one-tap action buttons that insert pre-written prompts: Summarize, Explain Simply, Suggest Title, Fix Grammar, Write Email, and Brainstorm Ideas. Paste in some text, tap the action, and the AI gets to work immediately.

- Android 7.0 (API 24) or later
- 8 GB total device RAM minimum (12 GB recommended for the Ministral 3B model with vision)
- 1.5 GB free storage for basic install + Llama 3.2 1B model
- 4.5 GB free storage if you also download Ministral 3 3B with vision support
- Text-to-speech enabled on your device to use Conversational Mode

Internet connection is needed once — to download the AI models from HuggingFace and Mistral. After that, the app works fully offline.
