Games that we want to see made into series

Thanks to the success of shows like The Last of Us and The Witcher, we’ve been thinking about the next great game adaptation that we’d love to see.
From casting the perfect star to getting the ambience just right, it’s fun to imagine how these games could become TV series. Hopefully they’d be faithful adaptations that do justice to the amazing characters and visuals that we already know and love.

Alto’s Odyssey – and its prequel, Alto’s Adventure – have such majestic, mesmerising visuals that we’d watch them for hours. We don’t know much about Alto’s back-story and how he became such an adept snowboarder and sand surfer, but we’d love to explore it.

It’s hard to imagine a better combo for must-see TV than the heartwarming adventures and stunning visuals of Sky: Children of the Light. There are so many ways in which this open-world game could be turned into a linear story. Plus, who wouldn’t want a cinematic montage of flying across the Kingdom of Sky?

Mystery, romance and pies aplenty – need we say more? We’d love to watch single mum Amelia Green rebuild her family cafe after a mysterious fire while she flirts with her old friend and new baker, Joe. There’s also an extended cast of quirky characters and small-town drama, including unsolved questions, like who is Amelia’s father?

With lush sci-fi landscapes, neon-soaked cities and vast desert plains, we would absolutely watch a series set in the beautiful world of Aida. A TV series could also unravel the mystery of how disaster struck this futuristic planet.

Honourable mentions

We would have put these games on the list, but they’re already being made into series. Dreams do come true.
