Ratings and reviews

Production quality and sound effects are still great, but the characters are starting to seem a bit stereotypical and the presentation does not handle action sequences very well (sounds thrown in but they do not "illuminate" what is going on).

The Sojourn is a masterpiece of sci-fi storytelling. The characters are wonderfully written and the world is both incredibly rich and yet grounded in reality creating a story you become fully immersed in. A really refreshing experience in modern sci-fi that definitely takes inspiration from some of the greats such as Battlestar, Firefly and The Expanse, but is most certainly still unique . The second installment greatfully holds up after the brilliance of the first, expanding the world and progressing the story very interestingly. I'm even more invested in the story than before, which considering I re-listened to the first several times is quite an accomplishment. Of course the fact that this is an audio drama sets it apart, but the fantastic quality of the voice acting, sound effects and the score give the feeling of a high budget movie or TV show. If you are on the fence about listening, please just give it a go, you will not regret it. I cannot wait for further installments!

Once again, Daniel Orrett and his incredible team have nailed it! I've already expressed my love of the Sojourn, as they have made a true modern sci-fi classic! These episodes paint an amazing complex and compelling narrative of loyalty, pride, and discovery. I can say that I'm excitedly awaiting volume III, and if volume II is any indication, it will be spectacular!
