OH WOW! Adrik is a powerful ex mafia boss that goes after what he wants. He's rich, fierce, powerful, dangerous, and protective. His one weakness is Sofie. She captures his attention from the second he laid eyes on her. Sophie lost her job, her home is falling apart, and her uncle is making trouble for her family. She intelligent and full of life but has low opinion about herself. She is not a stick figure, but a curvy girl. Adrik makes her feel wanted and safe. He helped her family. She doesn't care of his reputation of violence. She excepted him for who he is. They're relationship started off unconventional but in the end they find their happily ever after. The audobook is awesome. POV is done by two voice actors, Ri Paige for Sophie and Michal Norman Johnson as Adrik. They bring C. D. Gorri's characters to life. If you like audiobooks, this one should be on your list to listen to.

Absolutely Fantastic start to a new series. Action packed with lots of sass. Loved it. Action packed from the beginning to the very end.
