湯瑪斯．L．佛里曼 (Thomas L. Friedman)╱《紐約時報》外國事務專欄作家。自1981 年起擔任該報財經記者，專門報導石油輸出國家組織及石油相關新聞，後來負責率領外交、白宮及國際經濟記者團隊。3 度獲頒普立茲獎。著有《世界是平的》、《經度與緯度》、《了解全球化》、《從貝魯特到耶路撒冷》、《世界又熱又平又擠》與《我們曾經輝煌》。畢業於美國布蘭戴斯大學與英國牛津大學。曾任哈佛大學客座教授，並獲得多所美國大學榮譽博士學位。
