1924年6月，陸軍軍官學校成立，在7月時蔣中正以校長身分，出現在會議記錄裡，討論軍官學校預算、招考等事宜。孫中山除了主持中央執行委員會會議第一次會議外，他在生前共出席14次，於1924年10月底北上，會議記錄中仍可見請總理決議事務，直到來年3月病逝。本書中會議記錄時間為孫中山北上前後，為孫中山完整參與國民黨改組的紀錄。
本書另外紀錄了其他政治問題，如北洋政府濫捕黨人告國民書、對各國退款、賠款宣言、對中俄協定宣言等等。
