Porsche推出一款增高底盤的Porsche 911 Dakar，向1984年於巴黎-達卡拉力賽事中首次獲得總冠軍的保時捷賽車致敬。911 Dakar除增加離地高度，也搭載特別調校的懸吊，預計限量生產2,500輛，台灣保時捷也開出1,206萬元的預訂價，車主還可選配「拉力賽設計套件」，選配價新台幣17.42萬元。
911 Dakar最特別的地方在於底盤離地高度比911 Carrera增加50 mm，標配的前後軸抬升系統可讓前、後軸高度額外增加30 mm，使其具備和傳統休旅車相當的離地間隙與穿越角。這套懸吊系統經過重新調校，在「高」底盤模式下，可允許車輛在時速高達170 km/h進行激烈的越野活動，高於此速度車輛會自動降回一般高度。
動力搭載3.0 升六缸雙渦輪增壓引擎，可輸出480 PS、570 Nm的動能，0-100km/h加速需時3.4秒，極速限制在240 km/h。其餘標配還包括八速PDK變速、全時四輪驅動、後軸轉向系統、PDCC動態底盤控制系統及防傾穩定系統等。
Porsche宣稱，911 Dakar在沙地或鬆散地形的動態表現相當優異，還增加兩種全新駕駛模式讓車輛展現絕佳的越野性能，在Rallye模式下，全時四輪驅動系統將分配較高比例動力輸出於後軸輸出，適合鬆散、不平坦的非鋪裝路面；至於Offroad 模式下，底盤會自動調整至高離地高度，此模式可在惡劣地形與沙地上提供最強的循跡能力。兩款駕駛模式皆配置有全新Rallye起跑控制，使車輛在鬆散的路面發揮強力的加速性能同時允許輪胎約20%的滑移。
