A Night for us is prequel novella (Book #0.5) in the new The Wilder Brother series. This novella introduces us in more detail to the rest of the Wilder family (5 brothers), whom we first met in the Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series. The characters in this series are Eliza’s brothers, from Inked Obsession, but you do not have to read that series first. The Wilder brothers are now out of the military and need to find their new purpose and new normal - whatever that may be. Eli has some ideas and hopes to encourage his brothers to join in. Eli is the oldest and is ready to take the lead to ensure he and his brothers find a new home and opportunity to thrive. We also meet Alexis, a wedding planner who seems to have some real chemistry (sparks fly) when they dance. I am excited to read their story and the journey that will bring them together in One Way Back to Me, coming later in Spring 2022. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Looks to Be a Great New Series! Eli Wilder has just retired from the Military along with his other five brothers. They are all struggling to adapt to civilian life. Eli has an idea for a business where all of them will work together to run it. He has found an existing business that is an event and wedding location with an attached winery. It has been up and running for years and they would just need to take over and find the area where each of them felt most comfortably running. Eli has been invited by a friend of his who is also retires military that has a similar business to attend a wedding so he can see what the possibilities are. So Eli and Everett go to the wedding to observe. Somehow, Eli ends up catching the garter and the Wedding planner, Alexis catches the bouquet, so they are obligated to do one dance together. Eli is immediately drawn to her and is hoping to see her afterwards, but she makes it very clear that anything between them would be strictly business! So Eli and Everett return to San Antonio to start their business, but Eli can’t seem to forget his wedding planner. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Intriguing series prequel Eliza's half-dozen older brothers, all recently retired from the Air Force, have decided to combine their various skills and other assets to run a resort in their home state of Texas. Eli, as the eldest, is given the starring role in this short prequel that nimbly sets up a new series featuring the Wilder brothers. This novella is packed with background on all the principle characters, showing us their personalities and giving us a strong sense of who they are and how the family dynamics work. Eli's research leads him to a wedding, where he crosses paths with Alexis, a wedding planner who is decidedly off the market. Their brief interaction brings all the intensity and connection that we're looking for, before the preview ends with a scene that would seem to end any possibility of a future romance for them. This author is a master at pulling off the impossible, so I'm eagerly awaiting their full story in One Way Back to Me. If you want a complete introduction to the Wilder family and how Eli and Alexis meet, you don't want to miss this quick read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
