He is the author of titles including Anything You Can Imagine: Peter Jackson and the Making of Middle-earth, Alien Vault and biographies of Tim Burton and The Coen Brothers. He has also produced and featured in various documentaries and can be seen on the Discovering Film series on SkyArts. He lives and works in London.
