About this eBook

Rachel Armstrong has a burning need to right the world’s wrongs. Thus, she becomes the Avenging Angel.

And maybe she’s a bit too cocky about it.

While riding a hunch about the identity of a kidnapper, she runs into Julien “Cap” Jackson, who was trained by the team at Nightingale Investigations in Denver. Now he’s a full-fledged member at their newly opened Phoenix branch.

It takes Cap a beat to realize Raye’s the woman for him. It takes Raye a little longer (but just a little) to figure out how she feels about Cap.

As Raye introduces Cap to her crazy posse of found family and his new home in the Valley of the Sun, Cap struggles with his protective streak. Because Raye has no intention to stop doing what she can to save the world.

But there’s a mysterious entity out there who has discovered what Raye is up to, and they’ve become very interested.

Not to mention, women are going missing in Phoenix, and it seems like the police aren’t taking it seriously.

Raye believes someone should.

So she recruits her best friend Luna, and between making coffees, mixing cocktails, planning parties and enduring family interventions (along with reunions), the Avenging Angels unite to ride to the rescue.

“A thrilling and emotionally charged romance that exemplifies KA’s unparalleled storytelling skills, the first book in the spin-off of the beloved Rock Chick series does not disappoint. Ashley delivered a captivating tale filled with witty banter, sizzling chemistry and heart-pounding suspense.” – Danielle Palumbo at RedCheeksReads.com

“One innate gift— of many— that KA has is the ability to world build. Though I’ve never stepped one toe down Phoenix, she managed to make me feel like I was coming home. In this book we have a plethora of new hangout spots, supporting characters, hilarious shenanigans and new mysteries to uncover.” -- Shakira at BrownSugarPages

I liked it. It was great to have many rc characters back. I really like Cap. This book was a little more engaging for me than her(KA) recent books, which I felt were getting a bit too political/social justice preachy., It felt more like her older books.

How can a book feel like coming home while still being all shiny new? I’m not sure, but this is most definitely the case with Avenging Angel, the start of the new romantic suspense series. This is the off-shoot of the Rock Chick series, and it is a few years later, and our teen boys are all grown up, and old Sniff, new Cap, is in Phoenix, where Mace and Stella have moved, and set-up a new branch of NI&S. There is little left of the teen we knew, except for his huge heart, and his caring nature

Avenging Angel is the debut novel in Kristen Ashley's long awaited spin off from the highly successful Rock Chick series. First and foremost...you will not be disappointed! The story of Cap (Sniff) and Rae slot in beautifully, sharing the same vibe as the RCHB novels and will undoubtedly entice and excite readers. I love everything that KA writes and I was so excited for this first novel but I was also genuinely concerned that it wouldn't meet my lofty expectations. I should have had more faith! This is almost RCHB on steroids. The introduction of a whole cast of new characters alongside a goodly amount of well loved Rock Chick staples will not only ease the transition from Denver, it will probably urge you to revisit some of your OG Rock Chick favourites. With previous KA reading experience behind me I can predict (maybe?) the integral part some of these newest characters will play in the developing Avenging Angel series which if this book is anything to go by, will be absolutely epic! I can't wait to see where the amazing KA will take our Angels next...and what shenanigans befall them in their Avenging Angel Adventures (AAA)

About the author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake. Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.
