About this ebook

It is recommended that you read ÒHeaven Hill GenerationsÓ before starting this series, or you will be spoiled and lost!

Christine Steele

I stood by as my husband become a person I didnÕt recognize any longer. I watched as he betrayed his club.

Now IÕm trying to figure out how to move on, how to live my life, still love myself, and allow my family to love me.

IÕve been broken before, but this time IÕm not sure anyone can put those pieces back together.

Christine is the second Heaven Hill Short, and in ways, it's more emotional than the first, but in other ways, it has a lighter side as the story winds to a close. I think it does pack more of a punch than Caelin, and I think that has a lot to do with Christine's emotional maturity coupled with the boatload of guilt she's carrying. That guilt is understandable given everything that's happened in the Heaven Hill Generations series, everything that has led to this point. I loved her growth here as she learns that she does have people to turn to, including a special someone waiting patiently for her to be in the proper headspace. This one is part of a continuing story, so you'll want to read the Heaven Hill Generations series to follow the storyline. Each book is a wonderful romance in its own right, and it full of the Laramie Briscoe we've all come to love. All in all, Christine is a fast read, perfect for bedtime, and it's a solid combination of angst, friendship, and love.

Christine takes us on an emotional ride with her trying to put her life back together after everything that happened in Fury. The glimpse into the guilt and blame she was dealing with was so well written. I definitely am looking forward to the next book in this amazing series. Thank you Laramie Briscoe for letting us read what Christine went through and how she is working to come out on the other side. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Even though Christine’s is a very short story – that doesn’t stand alone without knowing the events in Fury – there’s a whole lot of emotion in here. So much emotion that I was nearly in tears at a couple points during the story. They may be really big emotions, and most of them are pretty heavy, but the book ends on a beautiful high note of hope and rebirth. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
