The study of development in low-income countries is attracting more attention around the world than ever before. Debraj Ray is the Julius Silver Professor of Economics at New York University. He is the author of A Game-Theoretic Perspective on Coalition Formation and a coeditor of Contemporary Macroeconomics, Readings in the Theory of Economic Development, and Theoretical Issues in Development Economics.
