About the author

Dr. Andy Homer is a former National Elder-Director of The Open Bible Standard Churches of Trinidad and Tobago Inc. In March 2015, he retired after thirty one (31) years as the senior pastor of the Church of the Open Bible at Marabella, in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He is a graduate of the Open Bible Institute of Theology in San Fernando, Trinidad, (Dip. Theological Studies), Eugene Bible College (New Hope Christian College), Eugene, Oregon, USA (B.A.), The Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, Kingston, Jamaica, (MA) The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad, (Post graduate diploma and MSc.) and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, (Palmer University) Philadelphia, USA, (D. Min). Dr. Homer is a marriage and family counsellor, conference speaker and an adjunct professor at the Caribbean Nazarene College and the Open Bible Institute of Theology in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He is the author of three previous books: Praise and Promise: A History of the Open Bible Standard Churches of Trinidad and Tobago Inc. 1954- 2004, The Good Old Days On The Hill and Leaders In Transition: A Guide To Leadership Transition in the Church and Other Faith-Based Organizations. He and his wife Ann Marie reside in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and have four adult children Anderson, Alyssa, Arland and Andrea. They also are the proud grandparents of eight grandchildren.
