Acerca del autor

Pam Flowers and her team ran the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, mushed to the Magnetic North Pole, and made a 2,500-mile trans-arctic expedition. Her account of that journey is chronicled in Alone Across the Arctic, and she is also the coauthor of the children’s book Big-Enough Anna: The Little Sled Dog Who Braved the Arctic and Douggie: The Playful Pup Who Became a Sled Dog Hero. Pam shares her amazing inspirational stories in classrooms and auditoriums all over North America. She lives in Talkeetna, Alaska.

Bill Farnsworth is the illustrator of more than fifty children's books, including Big-Enough Anna. His work includes images for the Kaya books in the American Girl Series, and he has received numerous awards and honors, including Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People, American Bookseller Pick of the Lists, and selection for the Society of Illustrator's Original Art Show. Farnsworth's warmly lit oil paintings gracefully illuminate the Maine landscape and Sockalexis's days on the baseball diamond. Farnsworth lives with his family in Venice, Florida.
