About this eBook

Time doesn’t heal all wounds, but it sometimes delays retribution.

After learning she was kidnapped as a child, Kate is eager to move to Texas. Alex—excited about their newly budding relationship—suggests a road trip to Denver to pack up her apartment. When her story hits the 24-hour news cycle, long-kept secrets threaten Kate and Alex’s happily-ever-after and their lives.

Kate wants to start over in the house her mother loved. Alex wants time for the relationship to deepen, but when the unthinkable happens, he realizes love rarely shows up alone.

In a hunt to find Kate, Alex lands at her laptop, searching. Can he keep her alive? Can he keep her at all?

Finding Kate #2 - Heartwarming. Finding Kate picks up where Finding Claire stops. I really recommend reading FC first. Another well written, suspense-filled story with believable characters, realistic dialogue and a twisting plot. This story is a fast paced, action packed thriller. I contacted the author to review her books. 5* My complete reviews can be found on Bookbub; reviewer, TexasTexan: Hill Country Secrets: The Wrong Path, #0 - 5* Finding Claire #1 - 5* Finding Kate #2 - 5* Just A Friend (#1.5?) - 5* Finding Treasure #3 - 5* The Chase #4 - 5* Margaritas, Cheesecake & Candlelight Series: Just You #1 (#5) - 5* Just Me #2 (#6) - 5* Just Us #3 (#7) - 5*

About the author

Pamela Humphrey was inspired to write after researching her genealogy. Intending to create a booklet for her mom and immediate family, she set about gathering stories and pictures of the Ramirez family. She ended up writing her first book, Researching Ramirez: On the Trail of the Jesus Ramirez Family, a family history of her great great grandfather's family. During that research, she found a christening record that ignited her imagination. Using the documentation she'd found as a backbone for the story, she imagined what life was like for her ancestors and wrote The Blue Rebozo, a fictional account of her great grand aunt's life.On a road trip, when driving through the Texas Hill Country, the landscape sparked the idea for a romantic suspense series. Weaving mystery, genealogy, and romance, she wrote Finding Claire (Book One) and Finding Kate (Book Two). She is currently writing the next installments in the Hill Country Secrets series.Pamela is a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom who enjoys many creative outlets: sewing, paper-crafting, jewelry-making, practicing her bass guitar, reading, and conversing with imaginary characters (what most call writing). She lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, sons, black cats, and leopard gecko.
