Arto is a gargoyle shifter, and his job is to protect humans. He's protecting Janie, his mate, because she's experiencing nightmares after her traumatic experience since she survived the Boston Marathon bombing to then be kidnapped by a demon. She’s a human that demons could breed with. To help her deal with her nightmares, Arto decides to teach her how to defend herself. Janie is having a hard time accepting Arto as her mate. She keeps him in the friend zone. Arto has her study at library where she looks up info on demons. There's a lot of information for her to process. She mistakenly calls forth a demon causing the Gargoyles to go into protection mode until they catch the demon. This is a wonderful, amazing paranormal gargoyle, Shifter rockstar, romance, book that I enjoyed reading, and it pulled me in from the very first page. The story was interesting and well written with the characters Gavin and Fiona were made for each other and had a wonderful chemistry together. It was a great story that I loved full of suspense, action and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really love Gavin and Fiona. Between her reactions, and their interactions, it was hard not to like them and root for thwm. The storyline is very entertaining and well written. There is danger and suspense mixed in as well. This has been one of my favorites of this series.
