When I started to read the book, I was expecting something completely different, but I should have expected something like this from Jo Raven who just loves to torture her characters. This time the story has a little fairy tale feeling, and for some time you don't even know what's real and what's not. The book is divided in three parts, in the first the main characters are kids, in the second they are teenagers, and in the third... well, they're still kind of teenagers, but it takes place a couple of years later. In each part we get to know them a little more, and discover more and more secrets. Of course, you fall in love more and more with them as time goes by. There were a few things I would have liked to see, get a better closure about a couple of things, but in general, it was very satisfying, and a great reading. Once again, this is a book I couldn't stop reading, that has great character development, secrets to discover, love to be explored and a lot of growing up. Some of the things that happen to them are quite harsh, but at the same time so real, that it even makes you think a little more about the world around you. Read it, it's really worth it.
