Great addition to the series Hold On Tight is a second chance romance story, filled with heart and redemption. I enjoyed Brooke and Spencer’s story. After five years, they never forgot about each other and the chemistry is still there. Although the reason behind Brooke calling off the nuptials was heartbreaking, the sacrifice she made on behalf of Spencer and his older brother felt like the right thing to do. Now that Spencer and Brooke’s paths are thrown together, he wants his revenge on Brooke for tearing out his heart when she left him at the altar. But one look at her and the feelings all come rushing back. He’s never really stopped loving Brooke and this time around he’s not letting her go. No matter what gets in the way of him claiming her. While working together on the reality TV show featuring The Fix, an Austin favorite bar, the highlight will be refurbishing the bar and the big promotional of the February Man of the Month contest. It’s finally looking up for Spencer and Brooke, and I hope to find out more in the upcoming books in the Man of The Month series. Lots of new characters, and although it’s standalone, I feel you might want to start with the first book to get the full appreciation. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Hold on Tight by J. Kenner is the second book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the second chance love story of Spencer Dean and Brooke Hamlin and the series story arc of this larger group of friends efforts to save their favorite bar, The Fix on Sixth. Spencer and Brooke have a past together. It's complicated if you know all the details as we readers do early on, and heartbreaking when you only know some of the details as poor Spencer has only known for the past few years. He is set for revenge on Brooke, she is, after all, the one who broke his heart and has ruined all relationships for him after their split. Brooke has been carrying the secret reason for leaving Spencer on her shoulders alone for a long time. She is still head over heels in love with him and had the best of reasons for what she did. Unfortunately, she never told him why and now, having to work together on their home improvement show filming renovations at The Fix, things get complicated and heated FAST. Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!

Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Spencer and Brooke) HOLD ON TIGHT follows the second chance romance between former reality star and remodelling expert Spencer Dean, and real-estate rehabber Brooke Hamlin. Five years earlier our heroine walked away from the only man she would ever love but a man she vowed to protect even if it meant destroying his heart.
