About this ebook

There are a million reasons why I need to stop thinking about Taylor D'Angelo naked.

She's too young for me, for starters.

She's too ambitious.

She's my job.

Romance was the last thing on my mind when I agreed to look into her stalker as a favor.

Now, she's all I can think about--and in every position I can imagine.

But I'm not the only one obsessing, and the threats against her are intensifying along with our connection.

If I give in, if I let our bodies take over, it could draw her stalker out.

Our passion could save her.

Or it could destroy us both.

He isn't interested in a relationship, his job and the lifestyle that goes with it just doesn't make it a priority. Plus been there done that got the divorce papers to prove it. Besides she's too young for him. This author gives us another steamy read for the men of the month. This time we get some suspense to go with it when someone decides to target his woman. Great addition to the man of the month club. Awesome idea and loads of fun and entertainment from the books and the regulars. They're loyal and good friends and that makes it all worth while.

Alright, I feel like we’re getting back on track with this series. I felt like Book 7, In Your Eyes, was lacking and I think it might have been due to the timespan of the book and its short length. Whereas the last book took place over a year, this book takes place over a couple weeks. Taylor’s got a stalker and Detective Landon Ware steps in as a “favor”. While Landon is older than Taylor this is hardly May-December romance. While there is chemistry between the two, the sexy times aren’t very steamy, hence the four star rating. The development of their relationship lacked some building blocks due to the short time frame. These two don’t have that “tear apart” moment I’ve mentioned before, but they both come with their respective baggage. If you’ve been reading the series, you’re most likely invested in Reece, Cam, Nolan, Tyree, Parker, Easton, Griffin, and Brent. Spencer’s story was part of the building blocks of the series. Derek and Landon, (and mostly likely Matthew) are just the wild cards, the hotties for ladies we’ve become invested in from the previous books. Their stories aren’t meant to be game changers to the series, just some filling to progress the story line.

We’re now into the eighth book in the ‘Man of the Month’ series and I have to admit, I think Ms. Kenner may have ran out of steam a little bit. This story didn’t pull me in quite as well as the previous books. The characters, while well written just didn’t appeal to me. Yes, the story was fast paced and fairly suspenseful with the stalker storyline but it just felt kinda flat all the same. Taylor may have seemed like a fun time girl, but she has some hidden and dark elements to her past that have returned and put her in danger. She needs help, which her friends at the bar, the Fix on Sixth offer. It comes in the form of detective Landon, a man she’s been secretly lusting after for a while. Landon has had some not so ‘friend like’ feelings of his own about Taylor and is more than happy to show her while protecting her at the same time. Can he save the damsel in distress or with the bad guy get the girl? Grab your copy and find out in Shake It Up.
