Claimed By the King was enjoyable and intriguing in a sense. I liked how it wasn't just a one-animal shifter novel but a collective of animals; bears, wolves, owl, witch, etc. A female sacrifice on the verge of life and death alleged to folklore, however she ends up with more than she bargained for. I only wished there was more lust, more connection between Broc and Kelly. The chemistry was on the surface but it could have gone deeper. I, as the reader, wanted more passion, more fire than what we were given. As well, the ending was abrupt and I felt the relationship between Kelly and Rhea was unfinished. I understand there are more books approaching soon and I am hoping that my questions will all be answered. Even though my rating is mediocre I will be reading the rest as the book was well written and I am interested to see what happens to the 'other' prisoner in the dungeon.

It was a well written book that I enjoyed greatly, however it would have been better if it was longer. There was so much left unsaid & you figured there would some punishment for attempting to kill the future queen, plus it seems as if Rhea got over her jealousy real quick. I always would have like to see more between Kelly & Broc than a couple nights & then their wedding night with a future child right then & there.

New book in a New series by this author. I have loved every book this author has put out and this one was no different. We get a young woman who in all respects has been lied to her entire life. So when it's her turn to be the sacrifice she takes it with no fight. Every eight years a human has to be sacrificed per a contract between humans and the savages but are they truly savages? There is an instant attraction between Kelly and Broc which both find weird but she eases into her place in the kingdom until those who are close to Broc threaten everything they are trying to build. Can Broc keep her safe? Or is she his savior? I can not wait to see what happens next as I know Broc' family member is keeping a secret of sorts.
