Weston, sexy, werebear-plus, Outcast. We see him as needy to begin the book--shift or have sex. He knows he is in a dangerous way. Then he is stopped by a brother in arms, Bane along with two very strange men. The pair with Casey make you laugh out loud and worry for their skins. Bad bear and his buddy work to resist eating them. You can't help but fall for the pair--comic relief just doesn't cover it. They came with his friend because Gus, the quiet one, has foreseen that Weston's mate is in danger. Weston doesn't have a mate. Although, Paisley is indeed in trouble and now you need to read the rest of the book, to see if they are too late, is it a trap, if not will she be the one? Besides steam and great sexual tension, the dialogue is sometime hysterical, always realistic. The characters ones you want to see get their own story. Once again I love this story as with all of Psy Ops world. I heartily recommend this.

While this book was about Weston and Paisley, my favorite characters were Gus and Bill! They are consistent throughout this series and their personalities are just so precious and unique. They obviously have grown on the grumpy anti-social Weston, since he not only keeps them around but worries about them. The main story line was intriguing, but seemed incomplete. We get tidbits of information about Paisley looking for her friend. We learn about new owners of the brothel closed down in the first book. We even get a hint of information about how Paisley is now a main target. What we didn't get was any completion of any story line. I felt I was left hanging. I will DEFINITELY read the next installment because I love this and the main series.

Bill and Gus hit again. I love that all the shifters threaten to eat Bill but end up protecting him. I think it's funny that Weston gets upset with Paisley for something he is also doing and she turns it on him.
