Plan seems to be changing. This has a great deal going on between its pages, first, we have a young soldier summoned to the death bed of a father he never knew then this man wants him to marry and again someone he has never met. Now the Earl does not just summon Bink but his ward Paulette and guess what he wants her to marry Bink. Now neither is inclined to follow thru with such an idea. The author deals with a very serious issue in her book and did it very well. This book will satisfy any need you have for mystery, suspense, adventure, and romance. I enjoyed this book and look forward to other works by this talented author. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

The dying Earl of Shaldon summons Bink Gibson, an ex-soldier, to his deathbed before the man can leave for India where he put up all of his savings to secure a spot with the East India Company and make his fortune. The Earl, a spymaster and a complete stranger to Bink, turns out to be the father he never knew. To receive his inheritance of money and property, the Earl requires him to marry the orphaned daughter of one of his spies. His immediate reaction is that he will not be trapped into marriage by a father he's never known. The impetuous Paulette Heardwyn needs to find out about her father and the treasure she believes he supposedly left to her. But before she can get any answers about him, the Earl dies without telling her anything, which effectively leaves her with no money -- unless she will agree to marry his son whom she has never met. Her immediate reaction is that she will not allow herself to be forced into marriage to a nobleman's illegitimate son! With many secrets hidden from them, what will they decide to do? Will he help her try to use the few clues she has to find her treasure? Or will the old Earl’s scheme bring two lonely people together? This was a well-written book that I enjoyed from start to finish! The story line was clever, the mystery intriguing, and the characters likable. Grab your copy and see what paths they choose to follow!

Marrying Mr. Gibson: A Regency Romantic Adventure is the first book in the Sons of the Spy Lord series. This book engaged my interest from the start and kept it throughout the entire story. The characters are well developed, likable, and relatable. The storyline is well written and entertaining, with death, suspense, intrigue, and a chance for love. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
