Maybe Later is an absolutely charming romance. It's witty, fun, emotional, and completely engaging from start to finish. It's the story of two people who don't trust easily and both are pretending to be someone else. The truth of them lies somewhere in the middle of what they show to the world and what they give to each other under the anonymity provided by email and text messaging. From the beginning, I was sure I knew exactly where this one was going, where the relationship angst would come from, but the author took me completely by surprise and went in a different direction. It's a slow-burn romance, but the pacing doesn't feel slow at all. At the same time, nothing feels rushed or forced, and the timing is about as perfect as it gets. The characters are interesting and lovable, the banter is witty and often hilarious, and the romance is heartfelt and sexy. This may be my first read by this author, but it certainly won't be my last. This was my review of Maybe Later when I read the ebook, and it all holds true after listening to the audio - well, except for the whole thing about being my first read by Claudia Burgoa. I've read several since then, and she remains one of my favorites. The narration is done in dual POV by Sebastian York and Grace Grant, and they are every bit as fantastic as I expected. The dual POV narration works perfectly with the emails and texts between the characters - it could've been rather confusing otherwise, especially with the fast pace of the story. In my opinion, the narration takes an already loved story to the next level.

I loved this as story as an Ebook but it’s taken to a whole different level as an audible. Sebastian York and Grace Grant did a wonderful job bringing this story and the characters to life. Wow this book is a complex read but what a great read !!!! Jackson is a successful CEO but he is a recluse he doesn’t handle change well so when his secretary goes on maternity leave he is lost and it doesn’t help that he finds it hard to trust so his secretary comes up with the idea of a virtual assistant maybe this will solve the issues Jackson has. Amy Walker is the virtual assistant hired to be the person behind the chats and emails and she is perfect for Jackson, if anyone can bring this man out she can because she’s not afraid to tell it as it is. This pair don’t seem to hit it off, he thinks she is unprofessional she thinks he’s prickly but they both look forward to the banter they share in their daily emails and chats could there be more for this couple that on the face of it seem so very opposite....... This book has a lot going on and it intrigued and captivated me from the first chapter to the very last page, it’s a slow burn about building trust and friendships as well as learning to love, it’s about secrets and learning it’s ok to open up once you trust someone, characters with plenty of witty banter helped make this a great read. Fantastic, entertaining listen that i highly recommend

This was definitely an intriguing story in the format of the telling. It was witty and comedic as well as romantic. Emiline used a fake persona (Amy) for work to protect herself. She was a smart cookie, having built up her own business successfully and managed a great number of tasks. Her past held her back from living. Then her life intersected with grumpy Jackson, and the fireworks went off. He was so set in his ways that he had trouble accepting the changes Amy/Emiline made. I loved how they helped each other move forward with their lives, even had moments of tears and smiles. These two were a fun couple. I also enjoyed the combination of Sebastian York and Grace Grant as they gave voice to Jack and Emiline. I received this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
