Della may come off as cold and indifferent, but she does it to protect herself. Childhood traumas and a lifetime spent trying to live up to expectations has made her the lady she has become. When her father orders her to marry an enemy in order to please a king, she has no choice by to obey. But it doesn't mean she has to like it...or her new husband.

Brant has worked hard to gain the notice of the king and looks forward to being off the battlefields. Too bad that when he agreed to marriage no one told him of the battles yet to come.

Like all my medieval historicals, I wrote these characters true to their time periods and full of emotions. If you enjoyed Maiden and the Monster, you'll enjoy Lord of Fire, Lady of Ice.

A tragic event in the past is a great backdrop for the rollercoaster story of Brandt and Della, I really liked how strong personalities and the insidious effects of doubts spurred on by half truths/mistaken details kept the story moving. The hot vs cold aspects were interesting, and really did manifest in extreme behaviour/reactions by both characters. It is also amazing what a good old heart to heart conversation will do to sort out misunderstandings.

Loved It! WOW! This is one full on historical romance with so many ups and downs your heart will gasp one moment and rejoice the next. Fire and Ice are they meant to mix? Della and Brant are stubborn people, he is possessive, she is willful, can they ever meet in the middle to make it work? Betrayal is happening all around them, secrets are about to be exposed. Can two people who are thrown together find any happiness in their marriage or will the past define what is about to happen? A page-
