About this ebook

Will a damaged reputation and desire for society's approval thwart the legacy of grace?

Tainted by scandal and forced to leave London for the quieter Brighton countryside, the Honorable Miss Clara DeLancey is a shadow of her former society self. She's lost the man she loved to another and, in a culture that has no patience for self-pity, is struggling with depression. A chance encounter brings her a healing friendship with the sisters of an injured naval captain. But Clara's society mama is appalled at the new company she's keeping.

Captain Benjamin Kemsley is not looking for a wife. But his gallant spirit won't let him ignore the penniless viscount's daughter--not when she so obviously needs assistance to keep moving forward from day to day. Can he protect his heart and still keep her safe?

When they're pushed into the highest echelons of society at the Prince Regent's Brighton Pavilion, this mismatched couple must decide if family honor is more important than their hopes. Can they right the wrongs of the past and find future happiness together--without finances, family support, or royal favor?

The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey is full of the captivating, flawed characters, fascinating historical details, and masterful writing that Carolyn Miller's fans have come to know in The Elusive Miss Ellison and The Captivating Lady Charlotte. If you love Lori Wick, Georgette Heyer, and other clean, wholesome Regency romance, you'll love this third book in the Regency Brides: A Legacy of Grace series.

I have enjoyed and savored each page of The Dishonorable Miss DeLancy by Carolyn Miller. The amazing descriptions of the Prince Regents Pavilion in Brighton, the period clothing, and sea bathing transported me to 1815. I am an avid reader of Regency fiction and feel Ms. Miller is becoming one of the best authors of this time period. Her descriptions and her knowledge of the time period make this an enjoyable read. Ms. Miller has an amazing way of weaving someone's journey with God into her stories. I felt like I was walking with the titular character Clara as she learned of her value in God's sight. I was encouraged in my own faith. I started the book unsure if I could like Clara DeLancey and ended it feeling like we had much in common. This is the final installment of a three part series. I recommend this book and the first two in the series. Now I must anxiously await for Ms. Miller's new series to come out in 2018. Wish me luck! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher. All opinions are my own.

Another great book by Carolyn Miller. I was surprised by how much empathy I felt for her (cos let's be honest, we disliked Clara in Book 1), but her story was really engaging and I quickly came to care about her and her friends. Highly recommended!

I loved this story by Carolyn Miller! It is the third book in her Regency Brides: A Legacy of Grace series and just as good as the other books in this series. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more stories by her in the future. She doesn't disappoint! Clara DeLancey was forced to leave London after her honor was tainted by a very public scandal and returning has left her on the outskirts of society where she once was a very big part. Starting up a friendship with Captain Benjamin Kemsley and his sisters is bringing a healing to her heart and soul, but the friendship is concerning to her parents who see the Kemsley's societal standing lacking. Benjamin isn't looking for a wife, but stumbling upon Clara has brought out not only feelings of protectiveness, but he finds himself quite enamored with her. Even so he has nothing to offer her because he is lacking in title and finances in which to support her so he wonders if he will ever have the support of her family where marriage is concerned. I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

About the author

Carolyn Miller lives in the beautiful Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. She is married, with four gorgeous children, who all love to read (and write!).

A longtime lover of Regency romance, Carolyn's novels have won a number of Romance Writers of American (RWA) and American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) contests. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Australasian Christian Writers. Her favorite authors are classics like Jane Austen (of course!), Georgette Heyer, and Agatha Christie, but she also enjoys contemporary authors like Susan May Warren and Becky Wade.

Her stories are fun and witty, yet also deal with real issues, such as dealing with forgiveness, the nature of really loving versus 'true love', and other challenges we all face at different times.

Her books include:
Regency Brides: A Legacy of Grace
The Elusive Miss Ellison
The Captivating Lady Charlotte
The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey
