5 Star Review My Almost Ex (The Greene Family #2) by Piper Rayne Having read the first book in this latest series from Piper Rayne I couldn’t wait to be back with the Greene family in Sunrise Bay, Alaska. This time Adam and Lucy and their second chance at love story is front and centre and what a story it was. Adam was left reeling when Lucy up and left him over a year ago as he thought they were happy. Now Lucy is back and it appears she has amnesia and thinks that they are happily married. Poor Adam, he is just starting to come out of the darkness that her leaving left him in and now here she is back again as if nothing has happened. Lucy is desperate to regain her memories of life in Sunrise Bay and I had a hard time putting this one down as I had to know what had happened. There were times that my heart almost broke for both Adam and Lucy and although there was humour their was a great deal of emotion as well. The Greene’s are a blended family and I loved how much interaction there was between them all, regardless of whether they are full, half or step siblings this family has each others back. The story was fast paced, witty and engaging and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

"I'm in. You've always been mine, Lucy Greene. I've fought for you my entire life and I'm not giving up on us yet." A fun and emotional second chance romance with all the feels and family hijinks everyone loves. Adam and Lucy were high school sweethearts, so when Lucy walks out on Adam he is confused. A year later while in the middle of a crowded bar, Lucy walks back into Adam's life and acts as if they are still the happy couple they always were. Lucy has amnesia and wants to remember her life in Sunrise Bay and Adam is determined to find out why she left him so he agrees to help her figure everything out. Heading back to Alaska is always a fun time. There are always bound to be some hijinks between Ethel and Dori. We got a lot more from Ethel and Dori in this book. You could sense the love and passion between Adam and Lucy even with Adam trying to deny them. This book was a little deeper than the other books especially when they finally realize why Lucy left in the first place. I am really enjoying this new series and after the ending, I am highly looking forward to the next book in the series. Audio: A great job by Jacob Morgan and Virginia Rose bringing the story and characters to life.

The first book in this series was amazing but My Almost Ex has taken this series to another level, I was excited for Adam and Lucy’s second chance at love and I was not disappointed because their story was everything I expected and so much more. Adam was broken hearted when Lucy left him over a year ago, he thought their marriage was perfect so how will he react now Lucy is back in town especially as she had a fall, is suffering from amnesia and still believes they are happily married..... Lucy is desperate and determined to get back her memories of her life in Sunrise Bay so that means convincing Adam to take a walk down memory lane but will Adam be prepared to risk another heartbreak and will his heart survive if she walks away again. This book touched me on so many levels, I giggled and smiled as I joined this couple and the rest of the Greene family taking a trip down memory lane but my heart also broke for Lucy and Adam as they relived the past. This book captivated me from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final words, it’s a fun yet emotional tale, the characters are wonderful, the banter is witty and I’m excited for the next instalment from The Greene Family.
