About the author

Priyanka R Ahimaz, MS, CGC, is an Assistant Professor of Genetic Counseling in Pediatrics, Columbia University, New York, USA. She has over 15 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular and pediatric genetics and is currently the Student Research Director of the Columbia University Genetic Counseling Program. She has held leadership roles in various national professional organizations including the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
