I really enjoyed reading this book, the characters drew you into the story and it was a really great story. There was the sexual tension between the new mates and the anxiety of Leah not wanting to be discovered as an ex criminal. But as the story develops, you see the love growing between the two main characters of Jav and Leah. You won’t be disappointed with reading this book. Leah was a gullible young woman at eighteen who Was on her own in the world and her boyfriend talked her into being a lookout for a robbery against the Martian’s who had invaded her world on earth. But she was caught by the Martian enforcers and sentenced to forty five years in jail. She is now twenty eight years old and has been given a chance to be free again but she has to be a mate to a Martian. She chooses to be free and marries her Martian Jav, but she can’t tell him of her background and her criminal record. Jav has always longed to have a family of his own after growing up in an orphanage from a very young age. He was chosen to be an elite warrior in the Martian forces. When he learns his new mates name, he is eager to meet her. When he sees Leah amongst all the women on the ship, he knows she is the mate he has been waiting for. He loves Leah and wants to protect her from all harm and give her all that she has missed out on in her life. When Jav finds out that Leah has a criminal record after he learns of a threat to his king, he can’t believe that she would betray him in this way. When he learns that a weapon has been planted in her possession, he is determined that she will not be taken away from him. But when he is fighting for her, the real culprit comes out in the open to confess, Leah is exonerated and they live happily ever after. Would have loved to read the book. The Google Play gave me the pre-order version so I got the first chapter. I contacted google customer service and was told to email them back. I did I've yet to receive any more information from them and it's been over 2 months. I'm very disappointed as this was bought as a bundle with the other two.

So very good! Sue Mercury has nailed it with this series! Full of vivid descriptions that bring her alien world to life, I hope this isn't the last book in this series! These "Martians", while depicted as savage to humans, are intense, protective, and loving. And I love that they come is a variety of colors! The human females in this series all have at least one thing in common, a willingness to face an uncertain future what a Martian mate. That takes courage. Leah is sweet and strong and hiding secrets. She's full of remorse over her past, but fearful of her new mate's reaction. Jav has pinned all his hopes for the future on his mate. Upon meeting Leah, Jav knows that he was right to, immediately become smitten, and determined to be the best mate. Intense passion, marital bonding, political intrigue, and more make this a very fun read! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
