This edition includes translations of Moliere's three appeals to the king, as well as an introductory essay by Roger Herzel, which discusses Moliere's life, Tartuffe and the comic tradition, and the setting, language and style of the play.
Acerca del autor
Roger W. Herzel is Professor Emeritus, Department of Theater and Drama, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Prudence L. Steiner took her Ph.D. at Harvard University, where she served as Lecturer and Director of the Harvard Extension School Writing Program.
