Ben Langley is such a genuine soul that it was hard not to fall in love. Adorably shy, socially awkward and with a genius that is unquestionable. However, somewhere along the way he allowed his insecurity to control him. Backhanded comments from family and friends made him aware that he was different and his tender heart started to break. Holly is a smart, ambitious business woman. On the verge of losing it all. Following her heart cost her dearly in the love department, wrecked her self-esteem and may cost her the business she loves. In order to save it she has to take a chance on a new client. Too bad he makes her want more than just a business relationship. I received an ARC of The Fix-Up by Tawna Fenske in exchange for an honest review. I thought it was a cute read. Ms. Fenske tackled self-esteem issues in a sweet, yet subtle way. She did so with such class that the lesson did not come across preachy. She also centered that lesson around the male lead learning to listen to his heart. With a little help from fate, he snagged his angel on the first impression.

I love a good geeky love story and this one definitely fits the bill! Ben is perfect. Much more at home in a lab than the boardroom but taking over as CEO requires he obtain the skills necessary and image more fitting of his new position. Holly Colvin is great at PR and rebranding products but a person??? Ben obviously needs help though and she needs the income so she's game! This is such a fun read and you can't help but love Ben. I think everyone will enjoy it. I definitely recommend.

About the author

When Tawna Fenske finished her English lit degree at 22, she celebrated by filling a giant trash bag full of romance novels and dragging it everywhere until she’d read them all. Now she’s a RITA Award finalist, USA Today bestselling author who writes humorous fiction, risqué romance, and heartwarming love stories with a quirky twist. Publishers Weekly has praised Tawna’s offbeat romances with multiple starred reviews and noted, “There’s something wonderfully relaxing about being immersed in a story filled with over-the-top characters in undeniably relatable situations. Heartache and humor go hand in hand.”

Tawna lives in Bend, Oregon, with her husband, step-kids, and a menagerie of ill-behaved pets. She loves hiking, snowshoeing, standup paddleboarding, and inventing excuses to sip wine on her back porch. She can peel a banana with her toes and loses an average of twenty pairs of eyeglasses per year. To find out more about Tawna and her books, visit www.tawnafenske.com.
