About the author

Shanon Patel divides his time between working in specialist practice in London and teaching future specialists in endodontics at King's College London. Shanon has published over 65 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals, has co-edited four textbooks, co-authored European guidelines on dental imaging and cone beam computed tomography in endodontics, lectures nationally and internationally on all aspects of endodontics, and completed a PhD in cone beam computed tomography in endodontics. Justin J. Barnes offers a specialist endodontic service in Northern Ireland. Justin has published several papers in peer reviewed journals, co-edited and contributed to The Principles of Endodontics, second edition, and has contributed to Manual of Clinical Procedures in Dentistry. Justin regularly delivers endodontic educational courses.
