Good read! I really loved these two characters together. They fit so well together. She is more calm cool and collected and he’s a little rough around the edges. I just loved all in tune Rian was with Dylan and his emotions. He was complex and she busted down those barriers. The addition of Jax was a nice little kick in the butt as well. Plus enjoyed seeing all the other roof top friends. Can’t wait for more.

4 Stars Review by Elizabeth Late Night Reviewer Up All Night with Books Rival Roomies was not what I was expecting and ended up being great. It contained all the aspects I look for in a book, drama, romance, chemistry, etc. Rian is a total math scholar that enjoys baking more than doing what she does for a living, math. Rian is a force to be reckoned with and when she wants something, she goes for it. Her only downfall is her lack of being able to stand up to her parents. Her parents raked my nerves from the first time they were introduced and I could not wait for Rian to speak up and tell them where to shove it. Next, we have Dylan, the complex man. Dylan’s past was touched within the book and it was less than pleasant, to say the least. However, once he gets his head out of his butt, he starts to realize what has been in front of him all along. But with a past like his, is there really a happy ending in his future? Overall, Rival Roomies may have been different from what I expected, I have to say I enjoyed the read. I have not read the other books in the series yet and I will most definitely be reading them as soon as I can.

No real "love triangle" as the synopsis suggests - the room mate has implied innuendo but ultimately flirts with the main character to encourage his friend to admit his feelings for her. Very little "romance/erotica novel" material in the book, and quite cliche. Easy read, but not nearly as interesting as it makes out to be.
