Kent Beck is a programmer, creator of Extreme Programming, pioneer of software patterns, coauthor of JUnit, rediscoverer of Test-Driven Development, and observer of 3X: Explore/Expand/Extract. Beck is also alphabetically the first signatory of the Agile Manifesto.
